For owner-led businesses · Returning in 2027

A Big Four auditor working for you, not against you.

When a business isn't running the way it should, the reason is usually a few layers down from what you can see. My work draws on years in audit and executive consulting - finding that reason, and building the plan to fix it.

How I work

Sometimes you can see it in the numbers - a slim bottom line, costs that don't make sense. Other times it's your people - high turnover, employee dissatisfaction. These are symptoms of underlying problems, often covered by layers of disjointed processes, patched-together hires, and technology no one fully uses. I was trained as a Big Four auditor to find financial and business-process mistakes, and I use those same skills now to help businesses find the root cause behind the symptoms - then design the best fix for it. I also spent time in Deloitte's consulting arm managing executive transitions - identifying strategy, evaluating organizational structures, hierarchies and systems.

My first real test was my husband's own business in Bryan-College Station, where I had to take Fortune 500 experience and apply it to a one-man operation run on QuickBooks. Boy, did I learn a lot. I help businesses of every kind, simple to complex. You tell me the symptoms - I figure out what's actually wrong, whether it's structure, process, people, or communication - and help you set things right.

Services

Three ways the work takes shape.

01

Organizational audits

An outside look at your business as a whole, or just a part depending on where the concern is. Whether it's the numbers, processes, or people, I help trace symptoms back to what's causing them. It's the same discipline I used auditing the financials and business processes of Fortune 500 companies, applied to your business. The goal is a clear, honest account of what's wrong, what's behind it, and potential options to fix it.

02

Strategic consulting

These services help define and set the direction of the business. The work can take different forms depending on what you need. Sometimes it is a working session or individual interviews with leadership to sift through future options and weigh them honestly. Other times, it is taking goals you already have and helping build a practical structure or roadmap to reach them. It often includes a plan for communicating that direction to your staff, so the people who have to carry it out understand where the business is headed and why.

03

Transition workshops

These are focused workshops for working through change in people and leadership - whether bringing in a new leader, defining the right role before you recruit, or reframing a department or the whole business so the change holds. This is the work I specialized in at Deloitte.
