When a business isn't running the way it should, the reason is usually a few layers down from what you can see. My work draws on years in audit and executive consulting - finding that reason, and building the plan to fix it.
Sometimes you can see it in the numbers - a slim bottom line, costs that don't make sense. Other times it's your people - high turnover, employee dissatisfaction. These are symptoms of underlying problems, often covered by layers of disjointed processes, patched-together hires, and technology no one fully uses. I was trained as a Big Four auditor to find financial and business-process mistakes, and I use those same skills now to help businesses find the root cause behind the symptoms - then design the best fix for it. I also spent time in Deloitte's consulting arm managing executive transitions - identifying strategy, evaluating organizational structures, hierarchies and systems.
My first real test was my husband's own business in Bryan-College Station, where I had to take Fortune 500 experience and apply it to a one-man operation run on QuickBooks. Boy, did I learn a lot. I help businesses of every kind, simple to complex. You tell me the symptoms - I figure out what's actually wrong, whether it's structure, process, people, or communication - and help you set things right.
Leave your email and I'll send a note when hands-on advisory returns next year.
