Drawing on seven years in Deloitte's Audit & Assurance practice, experience supporting executive leadership through organizational change, and firsthand experience helping build and operate a growing small business, Caroline brings an outside perspective to organizations navigating growth, change, and important decisions.

I didn't begin my career expecting to work with small businesses and CPA firms.
I started at Deloitte in Audit & Assurance, where I spent seven years working with organizations ranging from privately held companies to Fortune 500 businesses. During that time, I also managed Executive Transition Labs within Deloitte's consulting practice, coordinating workshops that brought together executive leadership teams and boards as they navigated strategic planning, organizational change, and major business decisions.
That experience taught me something that still shapes my work today: every organization is different, but the questions leaders wrestle with are often remarkably similar.
After moving away from Houston during COVID, my husband started a construction company, and I found myself on the other side of the table. Instead of advising large organizations, I was helping build and operate a growing small business, experiencing firsthand the realities of limited time, competing priorities, and making important decisions without the resources of a large organization.
That perspective fundamentally changed the way I approach consulting.
One local CPA firm asked for help with internal inspections. That engagement grew into consulting on SQMS No. 1, peer review readiness, risk assessment workshops, and ultimately the development of practical documentation systems that are now used by multiple firms.
Working alongside CPA firms reinforced something I had already learned in consulting: organizations rarely need another generic framework. They need someone who understands how to ask the right questions, organize complex problems, and help leadership determine the approach that fits their organization.
Today, I work with both CPA firms and growing organizations.
CPA firm engagements include SQMS No. 1 implementation support, peer review readiness, risk assessments, monitoring, firm transformation initiatives, succession planning, and strategic consulting.
Business engagements focus on organizational audits, leadership facilitation, growth planning, operational alignment, and helping leadership teams work through complex decisions during periods of growth and change.
If that sounds like the kind of help your firm is looking for, send me a note.
