See SQMS Resources“Working with Caroline has been an excellent experience. She brought a valuable Big 4 accounting perspective while also understanding the practical realities and resource constraints of a small to mid-sized firm. Her collaborative approach made her feel like an extension of our team, and she consistently took the time to understand our specific needs and tailor her recommendations accordingly. The quality of her work, responsiveness, and professionalism exceeded our expectations. We greatly appreciate her contributions and look forward to continuing our relationship on future engagements.”
“With her unique background and skillset, Caroline is like a CPA/consultant swiss army knife who seems to handle any challenge we throw at her! As our firm, including the audit practice, has evolved in significant ways, Caroline has worked right alongside our leadership team helping us to navigate, develop and implement various strategic initiatives, including SQMS No. 1, AICPA Firm Transformation, staff and technology trainings, and the list could go on. And to top it all off, Caroline has an awesome family, knows firsthand how to start and run a small business, and is a blast to work with. Can’t ask for much more!”
My background includes seven years with Deloitte in Audit & Assurance, along with management roles supporting the consulting practice. During that time, I managed executive workshops and strategic planning sessions for C-suite leaders and boards of directors, including Fortune 500 companies.
After relocating from Houston during COVID, I stepped into a very different environment, helping run my husband's construction business. That experience provided a firsthand understanding of the realities small businesses face every day, from operations and growth to the practical decisions that come with running an organization.
Not long after, I began consulting for a local CPA firm, giving me an opportunity to combine my experience in public accounting, organizational consulting, and small business operations. Today, my work includes advising both growing businesses and CPA firms, with a specialized focus on helping small and mid-sized CPA firms navigate quality management, organizational planning, and leadership decisions.
I'm happy to connect you with firms I've already worked with. References available upon request.
